think it is a good time to bring up the fact that the police in the united states of america are not legally required to protect people. that is straight up not part of their job.

furthermore, the united states police system was created largely out of runaway slave roundup patrols, they never existed to protect people, they were created to protect “property rights.”

They do not and have not ever existed to help keep folks safe. That is quite literally not even in their constitutional job description.

Yea okay tell that to the victims of the murderers and rapists who they apprehend. To the victims of theft or domestic violence. GTFO with that bullshit.

you mean like when cops murdered more people than gangs in the usa?

or you mean like all the people cops rape on the job and get paid for?

or you mean like all the domestic violence cops enact on their own family four times higher than the national average?

or you mean like when cops stole more stuff from people than burglars?

real confused on how you mean this tbh....

it’s almost like you don’t actually give a fuck about victims of violence and just don’t want people to talk bad about cops.

cool, glad you can bring up their names whenever it’s convenient for you and not whenever is convenient for victims of crime.

when i say “unfollow me if you support trump” im not saying it ironically. no, seriously, if you support trump then i dont want your disgraceful ass to be in any way associated with my blog. get out.

you ever get pissed off by somebody’s mindset? like damn.. you really think like that?

for people who are unaware of why the riots in minneapolis started happening, here’s the facts:

  • it wasn’t george floyd’s protesters who started reacting violently; it was the cops.
  • the protest was peaceful until the cops showed up in riot gear, and started using water cannons, followed up by tear gas and rubber bullets. i got videos from friends who were there, of people screaming and running away from the cops shooting the water cannons, rubber bullets and throwing tear gas at them. they were even shooting at the protesters dragging people away to get medical attention.
  • speaking of medical attention, dispatch refused to provide any medical attention to the protesters. people literally had to drive their bleeding friends to the hospital because they refused to send ambulances.
  • cops are using non-lethal weapons in a lethal way. they shot rubber bullets into people’s heads and injured them. there’s dozens of photos of protesters with bleeding head wounds from the rubber bullets.
  • multiple people used police scanners and heard that there were undercover cops pretending to be violent protesters who were throwing rocks and whatnot at the police, with dozens of eyewitness accounts confirming that information.
  • the person who instigated all the chaos last night (it was a fire at an autozone) with the looting and burning buildings is highly suspected to be an undercover cop pretending to be a protester, because the video of him keeps getting taken down. protesters tried to stop him but couldn’t because he had a hammer and they were scared for their safety.
  • the cops jammed cell phone towers and cut live streams to interrupt broadcasts and to prevent people from seeing what was really going on and who actually started the violence.
  • the cops lied about protesters being armed and about throwing rocks and are literally trying to continue the violence happening and yet no one is holding them accountable for that.
  • and during all this, the cop that murdered george floyd still hasn’t been arrested. he has had more than ten complaints filed against him and was involved in three other civilian shootings in the past. and yet he’s still out free along with his three other buddies involved, probably sitting on his couch while all this chaos is happening.

so don’t get it twisted. the cops just want to change the narrative to make it look like they’re the wounded and righteous party, when they’re the ones who started reacting violently in the first place and are still acting violently. so don’t you ever forget who started this tragedy and murdered someone, and who are continuing to react to the situation with violence.

My disdain for cops is institutional, not individual. Just because you may have a positive personal relationship with someone who is a cop doesn’t change the fact that the law enforcement system in this country is rooted in white supremacy and is used to repress and control the working class while protecting the elite.

All cops have signed up to enforce a system which is oppressing marginalized people in this country on a daily basis. Your personal relationship with an agent of oppression does not change this fact.

genuinely don't think i'm built for college and/or 40+ years of work. all i want to do is connect with other people and make friends and fall in love and travel and read books and do everything i want to do! and i don't want to work until i'm too old or tired to do any of those things! i just think it's evil that we have to spend our lives working even if we have no passion or drive for it

if you dissociate hard enough you can eavesdrop on conversations you’re a part of

i don’t remember making this post

These two images hit different to me.

The top is my homestate. Michigan. Armed protestors against the stay at home order shouting in the faces of police because they want their haircuts.

The bottom is yesterday. Minnesota. More exact, Minneapolis. Miles from where I live. Protestors sitting while police show up in riot gear as they rightfully protest and demand justice for the murder of George Floyd.

I’m not the least bit shocked. But seeing the stark contrast from two places I’ve called home is so disappointing and infuriating that the racist system we live in allows for this and there’s still people who will say the protestors in Minneapolis were wrong. Just... I’m so angry the “land of the free” fails so many people. America was never the land of the free.

Don't forget that they're humans too. They probably don't want to dress up in that riot gear (it's really heavy and hot and sticky when you sweat! 0/10 do not recommend). They don't want to get sick because someone is throwing a tantrum over not getting their way. Those police officers were ORDERED to be there. And I bet it hurts for them to be there too. Some would probably love to protest with you but can't because of the department image. They're not doing wrong. They're not being racist. They're being neutral. They're dispensing the law without personal bias. the riot armor is not even for the peaceful protests. It's for keeping those peaceful protests safe. Because if you bother to look at history, there's been instances where someone violent enters and hurts people to protest the peace it's self.

Stop shitting on others for doing their JOBS.

All lives matter is a fucking sham and refuses to see color.

You’re another to miss the point of this post and the racism cops spew. Get the fuck out of here with All Lives Matter.

All lives don’t matter until Black Lives Matter.

hi. there are currently riots in protest of the murder of a black man, george floyd by police in south minneapolis right now. live rounds are now being shot into the crowd, and the police/national guard are preparing for mass arrests.

the minnesota freedom fund is standing by to bail people out, and please donate to them if you can. https://minnesotafreedomfund.org/

george floyd’s family also has a memorial fund here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/georgefloyd
